Netopil, Jan ; Nedoma, Jiří (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
My work contains a comprehensive aggregate of knowledge which is needed for a renovation of a car Skoda Octavia Super. It provides a description of the construction and an execution of a chassis, a transmission, an engine and accessories of the car for individual manufacturing sets, next is a description of a colour execution and a superficial modification. I put emphasis on the identification of all mechanisms and Skoda Octavias accessories (the eighth manufacturing set). The right execution approximates many photographs, a function of the transmission of a functional scheme. All mentioned pieces of knowledge are based on studying of a period literature, a catalogue of spare parts, a contemporary literature and verifying information in the Skoda Octavias museum and in veterans clubs. This work also pays attention to issues of the renovation of the car and its financial demands, options how to use additive technologies during the renovations of cars. In conclusion is evaluated a condition of renovated Octavia Super, year of production 1960, carried out a checking measuring of selected mechanisms and worked out a budget of the renovation. The work brings theoretical knowledge which is needed for returning of the car, Octavia Super, to the state as it was made.
The First Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus and Its Effect on the Escalation of the Greco-Turkish Ethnic Conflict
Kincl, Martin ; Tejchman, Miroslav (advisor) ; Králová, Kateřina (referee)
The First Constitution of the Republic of Cyprus and its Effect on the Greco-Turkish Ethnic Conflict Abstract The main purpose of this paper is to assess the impact of the first Cypriot constitution of 1960 on the following inter-ethnic violence, which broke out in 1963. Explanation of all the relevant political crises of the early Cypriot Republic right until the meltdown of the constitutional system, provides for a wider context in which a line can be drawn between the provisions stated by the constitution and the resulting local Greco-Turkish ethnic conflict. The first half of this thesis comprises a rather theoretical view of the constitution, whose certain articles are cited whenever needed. It also includes some information about the historical and political background, summing up the causes behind the proclamation of independence itself, as well as the final shape of many controversial provisions offered by the constitution. The second half sheds some light on the complex political crises caused in part by the reluctance of both national communities to co-operate when governing the state, in part by the very system outlined by the constitution. A few of the last sub- chapters deal with the aforementioned ethnic conflict of 1963 onwards, provoked by a then president Makarios' attempt to amend the...
Preparation and enactment of the 1960 Constitution from the point of view of the Czechoslovak press
Volčková, Dominika ; Groman, Martin (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
This bachelor thesis deals with one of the most important constitutional transformations in the Czechoslovak and Czech history from the point of view of the then press. The primary aim of the new constitution enacted in July 1960 was to confirm the following fact: socialism had won in Czechoslovakia. Embodying among others the pivotal position of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia, this triumphal document had to be presented to the society in a certain form. The key role played the Czechoslovak daily press. It was documenting the entire procedure from drafting the proposal of constitution in April 1960 to its definitive enactment by the National Assembly in July. However, what kind of information was the press passing to readers? And which methods were used? At the beginning, we focus in the theoretical part on the historical and legal context preceding the new constitution. We concentrate on the text itself and its specificities from the 1948 Constitution. Subsequently we characterize the explored media environment. Finally we analyze with qualitative and comparative methods four leading daily newspapers: Rudé právo, Práce, Svobodné slovo and Mladá fronta. What media image of the 1960 Constitution did they create and in which they mutually resemble or differ from each other?
